At approximately 12:54 p.m. on July 2, an officer was flagged down by the victim for the report of a robbery by force. The preliminary investigation indicates the male victim and male suspect were stopped in their vehicles at a stop sign when they became involved in a verbal dispute. The suspect exited his vehicle, threw a can at the victim, reached into the victim’s vehicle and stole his phone. The suspect then reentered his vehicle and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male with facial hair wearing a brown shirt and gray pants driving a light-colored SUV. The investigation is ongoing.
