At approximately 1:24 a.m. on July 31, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was inside her residence when she heard a noise and upon further investigation, observed the male suspect, who is known to her, forcing entry into the home. The suspect briefly made entry into the residence before the victim called out to another occupant of the home, causing the suspect to flee the scene on foot. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area yielding negative results. The investigation is ongoing.
