At approximately 5:01 p.m. on August 4, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and attempted to leave the store without payment, during which he was confronted by loss prevention personnel. The suspect then shoved loss prevention personnel before discarding the merchandise and fleeing the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a bald Black male, approximately 50-55 years old, 6’3”, wearing a gray shirt and jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
