Arlington Man Arrested for Firebombs After Ongoing Noise Complaints
The Arlington County Fire Department’s Office of the Fire Marshal has arrested Charles Peters, 77, following a series of loud noise complaints in the Bluemont neighborhood. Peters is facing five charges related to the manufacturing, possession, and use of explosive devices.
The investigation began on August 20, 2024, after residents along Washington Blvd and the Custis Trail reported disturbing sounds. Fire Marshals identified Peters as a key suspect, and on August 30, 2024, a search warrant led to his arrest.
