Police Investigate Armed Robbery and Shooting in Ballston-Virginia Square

ARLINGTON, Va. – Arlington Police are investigating a shooting that took place early morning on September 15 in the Ballston-Virginia Square area.

Officers were dispatched around 6:14 a.m. to the 800 block of N. Glebe Road after reports of an assault involving a weapon. When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was given medical attention at the scene before being transported to a local hospital, where he’s now in stable condition.

According to initial findings, the victim and another man had just gotten out of their car and were walking toward a nearby business when four suspects confronted them. Armed with guns, the suspects demanded valuables and made off with jewelry and cash. During the robbery, they fired multiple shots, injuring the victim and damaging nearby businesses and residences.

The suspects, described as four Black men dressed in all black with face coverings fled in a dark-colored sedan. Police believe this was a targeted attack, not a random incident.
