At approximately 9:52 p.m. on February 15, police were dispatched to the report of a person with a gun. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect and male victim, who are acquaintances, were outside a residential building when they became involved in a verbal dispute during which the suspect allegedly made threatening statements and brandished a firearm. The victim was able to leave the scene and call police. No injuries were reported. Responding officers located the suspect on scene and took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, officers recovered a firearm, ammunition and suspected narcotics. Colin Brown, 44, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Brandishing, Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance, Felon in Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition (x2), and Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of Drugs.
