At approximately 6:29 p.m. on November 9, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was walking to his parked vehicle when two masked suspects approached him, one suspect brandishing a firearm, and demanded his keys and cell phone. The suspects then entered his vehicle and fled the scene. A lookout for the vehicle was broadcast and an officer located it traveling on I-395 and attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop the vehicle, and the officer initiated a vehicle pursuit. The vehicle subsequently became immobilized in the area of I-395 at Shirlington Road and the four suspects, all juvenile males in their teens, were taken into custody. During the course of the investigation, the victim’s cell phone was recovered near the scene of the carjacking. Suspect One was charged with Carjacking, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Wearing a Mask in Public and Felony Eluding. Suspect Two was charged with Carjacking, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony and Wearing a Mask in Public. Suspects Three and Four were charged with Unauthorized Use of Vehicle.
