ARLINGTON, Va. – A 23-year-old Arlington man, Leonardo Reyes, has been arrested following a domestic-related double stabbing in Pentagon City. The incident occurred on December 14, around 9:45 p.m., along the 900 block of Army Navy Drive. Reyes faces multiplecharges, including two counts of Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Child, and Child Abuse. He is being held without bond.
Incident Details
Police responded to reports of a stabbing and found an adult woman and a toddler suffering from serious injuries. Officers immediately began lifesaving measures before the victims were transported to nearby hospitals. The woman is in critical but stable condition, while the toddler is reported to be stable.
A second child was present during the attack but was unharmed.
Investigators say the suspect approached the victims, who were walking outside a business. He allegedly attacked the woman, who was holding the toddler, with a knife before fleeing on foot.
Quick Arrest
Officers arriving at the scene spotted someone matching the suspect’s description entering a parking garage. After setting up a perimeter, police located Reyes hiding under a parked vehicle. Following a brief struggle, during which a police K9 was deployed, Reyes was taken into custody.
