Arlington Police Investigating Series of Sexual Batteries in Arlington Mill Neighborhood

ARLINGTON, Va. – Arlington County Police are investigating a troubling series of sexual batteries in the Arlington Mill neighborhood, urging potential additional victims to come forward.

The first reported incident occurred on November 23, 2024, around 5:28 p.m., when a woman walking outside was approached by a man who touched her inappropriately before fleeing on foot. The suspect is described as a heavy-set Hispanic male, 17–30 years old, and approximately 5’3”–5’6” tall.

Similar incidents were reported in the same neighborhood on December 18 and December 21. Police have not ruled out the possibility of more unreported cases.

Safety Tips for the Community

Arlington Police encourage residents to remain vigilant and share the following tips:

  • Be aware of your surroundings at all times.
  • Stick to well-lit, high-traffic areas.
  • Walk with others when possible.
  • Report suspicious behavior immediately by calling 9-1-1 in emergencies or 703-558-2222 in non-emergencies.
