At approximately 2:34 p.m. on August 2, police were dispatched to the report of a suspect with a weapon. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim and female victim were outside when the male suspect allegedly approached them, displayed a knife and demanded food items. The victim’s then left the area and called the police. No injuries were reported. Responding officers located the suspect on scene and took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, a pocketknife was recovered. Ananias Lopez Escobar, 36, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Attempted Robbery and Public Intoxication.
