At approximately 2:52 a.m. on August 10, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with a weapon and Injury. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect and male victim were outside a business when the male suspect allegedly deployed pepper spray at the male victim following a verbal dispute. The victim then struck the suspect with a stick before running away from the scene. Responding officers located the suspect and the victim in the area. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medics at the scene. The suspect sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following his release, David Lee Nelson, 54, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding by Caustic Substance.
