At approximately 7:54 p.m. on August 23, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect allegedly entered the business, concealed merchandise and exited the store without payment. Loss prevention personnel confronted the suspect outside the business during which the suspect stuck and bit them. The suspect was detained with the assistance of additional loss prevention personnel and responding officers took him into custody. Loss prevention personnel sustained minor injuries and were evaluated and released by medics on scene. During the course of the investigation, suspected narcotics were recovered. John Moye III, 55, of Washington D.C. was arrested and charged with Robbery and Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance. He was held without bond.
