An employee was seriously injured in a violent altercation inside a business on Wilson Boulevard on the evening of September 11. According to Arlington police, the incident began when a male suspect entered the store, went behind the counter, and began collecting merchandise without authorization.
When an employee confronted the suspect, a physical struggle broke out. During the altercation, the suspect reportedly brandished a knife and struck the employee multiple times, causing several lacerations. The suspect then fled the store on foot.
First responders provided immediate medical assistance to the injured employee at the scene before medics transported him to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Police conducted an area canvass, but the suspect was not located. He is described as a Black male with long dreadlocks, approximately 6’0” to 6’3” tall, wearing a black hoodie, gray pants, and white and black shoes.
The investigation into this Aggravated Malicious Wounding is ongoing.
