An altercation between teenagers escalated into an assault involving pepper spray at the Pentagon City Mall on the evening of October 11. Arlington Police responded to the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street following reports of an attack.
Preliminary investigations revealed that two teenage female suspects, known to the female victim and involved in an ongoing dispute with her, approached and assaulted her before discharging pepper spray. The suspects fled the scene on foot immediately after the incident.
The victim declined medical treatment. Police continue to investigate the assault and are working to identify and locate the suspects.
