A dispute between a cyclist and a driver turned violent when the driver allegedly accelerated his vehicle toward the cyclist, striking him and causing minor injuries. The incident occurred after both parties pulled into a parking lot following the initial altercation.
The victim, who sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention, later obtained warrants for the suspect. Samuel Thernstrom, 58, of Arlington VA, was taken into custody on scene and charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding and Destruction of Property. He is being held without bond.
