A retail theft turned violent Friday afternoon when a woman reportedly assaulted store employees while attempting to flee. The suspect entered the store, concealed merchandise, and tried to leave without paying. When confronted by loss prevention personnel outside, she allegedly assaulted them before dropping the stolen items and running away.
The suspect is described as a short, thin-build Hispanic female, approximately 27 years old, with black hair, wearing a pink t-shirt and jeans. Loss prevention employees reported minor injuries but declined medical attention. The investigation is ongoing.
