Time: November 16, 2025, at approximately 12:31 a.m.
Police were called to a hotel on S. Hayes Street for a trespassing complaint. Officers located the suspect inside the hotel, and at the request of the property manager, the man initially left. However, he returned shortly after and was taken into custody.
A search revealed the man was carrying suspected narcotics, a firearm, and ammunition.
Elquan Deloatch, 35, of Alexandria, VA, was arrested and faces multiple charges, including:

Firearm Accident in S. Ross Street Home Leads to Charges in Arlington VA
Location: 1200 block of S. Ross Street, Arlington VA
Time: November 14, 2025, at approximately 1:56 p.m.
Officers responded to suspicious circumstances on S. Ross Street and discovered that a man had allegedly discharged a firearm while cleaning it in his home three days earlier. The accidental discharge caused property damage to his residence and an adjacent vacant unit.
No injuries were reported. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
Absalom Cherinet, 27, of Fort Washington, MD, was charged with Reckless Handling of a Firearm and was released on a summons.
