A robbery at a business on Washington Boulevard ended with the arrest of a 60-year-old Alexandria man later that evening in Fairfax County. Police responded to the scene around 4:21 p.m. after a male suspect entered the store, inquired about merchandise, and then allegedly snatched the items from an employee’s hands before leaving without payment.
When confronted outside by another employee, the suspect reportedly implied he had a weapon and fled on foot with the stolen merchandise. A search by responding officers yielded no immediate results, but later that evening, the suspect was located in Fairfax County.
Sandy McDuffie, 60, of Alexandria, VA, was arrested and transported to Arlington County. He faces charges of Robbery and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and is being held without bond.
