A fare evasion incident at the Pentagon City Metro Station escalated into an assault on a police officer after a woman resisted arrest and attempted to flee.
According to the Arlington County Police Department, officers took Porscher Woodruff, 35, of District Heights, MD, into custody after she was stopped for not paying her fare. While in custody, Woodruff became noncompliant and tried to escape. During the struggle, she kicked one of the officers. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Further investigation revealed that Woodruff had outstanding warrants from Prince William County, VA and Loudoun County, VA.
She was arrested and charged with:

Porscher Woodruff was also served with the outstanding warrants and is currently being held without bond.
