A daylight assault involving four juvenile females occurred on December 12 near the intersection of 12th Street S. and S. Monroe Street.
Police responded to a report of an assault and found two teenage girls with non-life-threatening injuries. According to the investigation, the victims were outside when two known juvenile female suspects approached them. One suspect allegedly yelled at the first victim before pulling her to the ground and assaulting her. When the second victim attempted to intervene, the second suspect pulled her down and assaulted her as well.
The suspects fled the scene, and both victims were transported to a hospital. Investigators determined that an ongoing dispute between the parties led to the incident. The suspects were identified, and juvenile petitions have been obtained.
