A robbery on 2nd Road North led to a major police response and multiple arrests late Sunday night.
Police say the male victim was outside when he was assaulted by a man who stole his phone and fled on foot. The victim followed the suspect and witnessed him entering a vacant apartment through a window, prompting a call to police.
Officers arrived and located the suspect along with several other individuals inside the residence. As police issued commands for all occupants to exit, the suspect fled again, leading to a foot chase and arrest near N. Oakland Street and N. Pershing Drive.

Officers also arrested Vaniqua Sanders, 32, of Falls Church VA, after she gave false identification and sustained minor self-inflicted injuries while in custody. She was charged with Unlawful Entry, Obstruction of Justice, and Identity Theft.
Four additional individuals — Belinda Pettus (46), Franklin Washington (47), John McCoy-Adams (28), all of Arlington, and Linda Menjivar (24) of Falls Church — were charged with Unlawful Entry and released on summonses.
