A theft at a retail business escalated into a robbery when the suspect physically pushed a customer during his escape.
Police responded to the 1300 block of S. Joyce Street, where they learned that a male suspect concealed merchandise in a bag and left without paying. As he exited the store, he pushed a customer also leaving the premises before fleeing.
No injuries were reported. Officers canvassed the area, but the suspect was not located. The case remains under investigation.
