Police responded to a fight inside a business in the Pentagon City area on January 21. A juvenile female victim was reportedly approached by another juvenile female, known to her, who made threatening statements before assaulting her. The situation escalated when other nearby juveniles joined the assault. Though the attack briefly subsided, the group resumed the assault before dispersing as police arrived.
The primary suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended following a foot chase into the Pentagon City Metro Station. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene. Petitions were filed against the primary suspect for Assault by Mob. The investigation remains ongoing.
