An early morning robbery at a business on N. Courthouse Road shocked employees when a woman banned from the premises returned and escalated a theft into a dangerous confrontation.
Police say the suspect entered the store, consumed food items without paying, and then threatened staff members with a baseball bat before fleeing on foot. Officers quickly located and arrested the suspect nearby.
The woman was identified as Tanisha Demby, 38, of Arlington, VA. She faces charges of Robbery and Trespassing and is currently held without bond.
