Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street on the afternoon of March 3 following a report of suspicious circumstances at a local business.
According to authorities, the incident occurred earlier in the day at approximately 10:30 a.m. when a male suspect was inside the business speaking with an employee. During the interaction, the suspect allegedly displayed what appeared to be a firearm and made threatening statements before leaving the location.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 25 years old. Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
