Armed Robbery Reported at Wilson Boulevard Business

Police are investigating an early-morning robbery at a business in the 1600 block of Wilson Boulevard that ended with the theft of cigarettes, coins, car keys and an employee’s vehicle.

According to Arlington County police, the suspect entered the business, went behind the counter and threatened an employee with a knife. Police said the man stole cigarettes, an undisclosed amount of coins and the employee’s car keys, then demanded cash from the register.

He then left the store with the stolen items, went outside and stole the employee’s gray 2019 Toyota Camry from the parking lot before fleeing the area.

No injuries were reported.

Officers broadcast a lookout and searched the surrounding area, but the suspect was not found. He is described as a Black male, about 5-foot-2, in his 20s, wearing a black jacket, gray hoodie, blue jeans and black shoes.

The stolen vehicle has Virginia license plate UWM5748. The investigation remains ongoing.
