A woman was knocked to the ground and robbed in the 4100 block of 4th Street N early March 12, according to Arlington police.
Investigators said the robbery happened about 30 minutes before officers were dispatched at approximately 4:37 a.m. The victim was walking in the area when a man approached her from behind, shoved her to the ground and stole her purse. The purse contained her cellphone along with an undisclosed amount of cash and checks.
The suspect then fled the area on foot. The victim suffered minor injuries but declined medical attention.
Police described the suspect as a Black male. The investigation is ongoing.
