An attempted robbery was reported early Sunday morning in the 1800 block of Columbia Pike. Police responded to a call about a suspicious person but quickly determined a woman had been targeted by two suspects as she entered a residential building.
According to authorities, the suspects approached the victim and attempted to steal her purse. A brief struggle occurred before the victim was able to break free and run away. She then contacted police. No injuries were reported.
The suspects are described as two Black females—one in her 20s wearing all black clothing, and the other in her 50s wearing a headscarf, white robe, and flip flops. The investigation remains ongoing.
