A shoplifting incident escalated into a robbery Friday afternoon when a suspect attempted to leave a store without paying for merchandise. When confronted, the man allegedly made threats and implied he had a weapon before fleeing.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. He is described as a Black male between 25 and 40 years old, approximately 5’9” to 6’0” tall and weighing between 200 and 220 pounds. The investigation is ongoing.
