Police are investigating a late-reported attempted malicious wounding that allegedly occurred May 6 near N. Glebe Road.
Investigators say the victim encountered a man known to him while walking in the area around 5:50 p.m. The suspect allegedly approached the victim, began speaking with him, then displayed what appeared to be a knife and attempted to stab him while demanding his belongings.
The victim managed to run away unharmed, and the suspect fled the scene on foot.
No injuries were reported. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
