A man from New York was arrested after allegedly attempting to enter a residence in Arlington late Thursday night.
According to police, the victim was inside his home when he observed a suspect trying to gain entry through a secured door before fleeing on foot. Officers responding to the scene located an individual matching the description in the nearby 2500 block of N. Upshur Street.
When officers attempted to stop the suspect, he allegedly tried to run away before being taken into custody. Police said the suspect sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.
Russell Burger, 38, of Ridgewood, New York, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry and Obstruction of Justice.
