A robbery inside a business on Columbia Pike led to the arrest of an Alexandria man after police say he threatened a victim with scissors before fleeing the area.
According to investigators, the incident began when the victim was paying for merchandise inside the store. As the victim collected change from the cashier, the suspect allegedly grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from him. When confronted, the suspect reportedly threatened the victim with a pair of scissors and charged toward him before leaving the scene.
Responding officers located the suspect nearby and took him into custody. During the investigation, officers also recovered suspected narcotics.
Police arrested 32-year-old Mohamed Roble of Alexandria, Virginia. He was charged with robbery and possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance. Authorities said he was held without bond.
