Police are investigating a series of vehicle-related thefts after multiple cars were targeted during the early morning hours of June 5.
Officers first responded to the 1200 block of South Arlington Ridge Road at approximately 3:23 a.m. after a resident heard a noise outside her home. When she investigated, she reportedly found three men removing the tires and rims from her vehicle.
The victim confronted the suspects, and during the encounter one of the men allegedly stole her cellphone. The suspects then fled in two vehicles, one described as a black SUV.
As the investigation continued, officers discovered additional incidents in the 1600 block of South Joyce Street. Two vehicles had their tires and rims stolen, with passenger-side windows shattered and interiors rummaged through. A third vehicle also appeared to have been searched by the suspects.
The suspects are described as Black males between 20 and 30 years old, wearing black clothing and masks.
The investigation remains active.
