A man was arrested on multiple charges after allegedly trespassing at an apartment complex in Arlington’s 2300 block of 26th Court South.
According to police, the suspect was reportedly knocking on multiple doors within the complex when employees approached him and instructed him to leave the property. During the encounter, the suspect allegedly reached into a bag he was carrying, prompting employees to contact authorities.
When officers arrived, they observed an individual matching the suspect’s description running from the area. Police issued commands for him to stop, but he continued fleeing. With assistance from an off-duty law enforcement officer, the suspect was taken into custody.
During a search of the suspect’s bag, officers recovered a firearm. Police identified the suspect as 25-year-old Kevin Mendoza Flores, who has no fixed address. He was arrested and charged with brandishing, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a foreign alien, trespassing, and obstruction of justice.
