A 57-year-old Arlington man was arrested Sunday afternoon following an alleged malicious wounding inside a residence on North 14th Street.
According to Arlington County police, officers responded around 4:35 p.m. to the report of an assault in the 2000 block of 14th Street North. Investigators determined the suspect and victim, who know each other, became involved in a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical altercation.
Police said the suspect allegedly struck the victim with a combination lock during the confrontation. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated and released at the scene by medics.
Responding officers located the suspect at the residence and took him into custody. James Droshin, 57, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.
