ARLINGTON, Va. — Arlington County police have arrested a Washington, D.C., man accused of robbing a bank in Crystal City earlier this week.
Police say Brian Frances, 36, of Washington, D.C., has been charged with robbery. He is being held in Washington, D.C., while awaiting extradition to Virginia.
The robbery happened at about 12:24 p.m. on July 21 in the 1400 block of South Eads Street. According to investigators, the suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money.
Police said the teller complied, and the suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. Investigators said no weapon was displayed during the robbery, and no one was injured.
Detectives with the Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit identified Frances during the investigation. He was arrested in Washington, D.C., with assistance from the Metro Transit Police Department.
