Two juveniles are facing charges after police say a group riding e-scooters assaulted a man in Arlington, leaving him with injuries that required hospitalization.
According to Arlington County police, the victim was walking in the area when three to four juvenile males riding e-scooters approached and began harassing him. The encounter escalated into a physical assault, and the victim attempted to flee.
Police said the altercation continued inside a nearby residential building before the suspects fled the scene.
The victim suffered injuries that were described as non-life-threatening and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Following a search of the area, officers located two individuals matching the descriptions of the suspects in the 3200 block of 24th Street S. Petitions charging the two juvenile males with Malicious Wounding by Mob were obtained.
Police are continuing to search for the remaining one to two suspects, who are described as Black teenage males.
