Arlington County police are investigating an assault that left an employee with minor injuries at a business along Columbia Pike.
Police say the incident began when a woman was acting disorderly inside the business and was confronted by an employee. The suspect allegedly struck the employee, causing the victim to fall to the ground.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by medics before being released.
Officers searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect. She is described as a Black female, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing all black clothing.
The investigation remains ongoing.
