Man Arrested After Allegedly Striking Police Officer on North Courthouse Road

ARLINGTON, VA — A 65-year-old man was arrested after allegedly striking a police officer during an incident on North Courthouse Road on September 8.

Police responded to the 1300 block of N. Courthouse Road at approximately 6:58 p.m. for a citizen assist. Investigators determined a man had entered a business from which he had previously been banned.

Responding officers located the man at the scene and issued commands that police said he ignored. During the encounter, the suspect allegedly struck an officer before being taken into custody. The officer reported no injuries.

Charles Lebleu, 65, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with assault on police, trespassing and public intoxication. He was held without bond.
