Arlington County Police responded to the 2000 block of 15th Street North after receiving a report of a gunshot.
Police determined that two men were outside when they became involved in a verbal dispute. During the confrontation, one of the men allegedly fired a gun before fleeing.
Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect. Evidence indicating that a shot had been fired was recovered at the scene. No injuries or property damage were reported.
Police described the suspect as a white or Hispanic man wearing a black shirt and camouflage shorts. The investigation remains ongoing.
