ARLINGTON, VA — A 40-year-old man was arrested after allegedly forcing his way into a vacant apartment in a building from which he had previously been banned, according to police.
Officers responded to the 300 block of N. Quebec Street at approximately 10 a.m. for a report of trespassing.
Police said the suspect forced entry into a vacant apartment. Responding officers located him inside the unit and took him into custody.
During the investigation, officers determined the man was also wanted by Arlington County police in connection with a separate unlawful entry incident that occurred September 4.
Garland Mines, 40, of Washington, D.C., was charged with unlawful entry and destruction of property and was served with the outstanding warrant. He was held without bond.
