At approximately 11:41 a.m. on April 6, police were dispatched to the late report of a stabbing. It was determined that at approximately 11:05 a.m., the male victim was outside a business when the male suspect approached, and a verbal dispute ensued. The suspect then stabbed the victim with what appeared to be a knife and the victim ran from the scene. Responding officers located the victim outside a residence in the area and medics transported him to an area hospital with serious injuries. During the course of the investigation, an officer observed an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area of Columbia Pike and S. Glebe Road and took him into custody. Kermit Hutchins, 45, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding.
