Arlington Man Charged After Allegedly Kicking Officer on 10th Street S.

An Arlington man is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting a police officer Sunday evening.

An officer responding to an unrelated call in the 5100 block of 10th Street S. was flagged down by a witness inside a residential building. The officer made contact with a male suspect and determined he had allegedly broken several windows inside the building.

The suspect was taken into custody and treated at the scene by medics for minor injuries. While in custody, he allegedly became irate and kicked an officer several times. The officer reported no injuries.

Roberto Sales Hernandez, 29, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with Assault on Police and Destruction of Property. He was held without bond.
