Arlington Man Charged After Attempted Robbery at 9th Road South Business

An Arlington man has been arrested after police say he attempted to steal merchandise from a business in the 2500 block of 9th Road South.

Investigators say the suspect filled a shopping cart with merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying. An employee confronted him, leading to a struggle over the merchandise.

The suspect fled on foot without any of the items.

Police later identified the suspect and took him into custody. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation before being arrested.

Charles Adams Jr., 71, of Arlington, was charged with Attempted Robbery.
