Arlington County police are investigating a robbery in which a man reportedly had cash stolen after being confronted by a suspect who appeared to have a firearm.
Police were dispatched at approximately 9:13 p.m. on August 16. Investigators determined the robbery had occurred approximately 30 minutes earlier.
The victim told police he was outside when a male suspect approached him, brandished what appeared to be a firearm and demanded cash. The suspect allegedly took an undisclosed amount of money before entering a nearby black sedan and fleeing.
No injuries were reported. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
Police described the suspect as a Black male wearing all-black clothing. The investigation remains ongoing.
