Police are investigating a robbery series that unfolded Thursday evening across two Arlington businesses.
Officers were first dispatched to the 4200 block of N. Pershing Drive after reports of a robbery. According to police, a male suspect entered the business, approached an employee at the counter and another individual inside, and brandished what appeared to be a firearm. He demanded cash before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.
Shortly afterward, the same suspect allegedly entered another business in the 300 block of N. Glebe Road. There, he reportedly threatened employees with a firearm and demanded cash. Employees ran from the business, and the suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported in either incident.
A lookout was issued, and officers later spotted an individual matching the suspect’s description near 4th Street N. and N. Thomas Street. The suspect ran from the area and was not located.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5’6” to 5’10” tall, wearing all black clothing and a face covering. The investigation remains ongoing.
