At approximately 4:14 on January 7, police were dispatched to the report of public intoxication. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect sustained injuries while he was believed to be under the influence and was transported to an area hospital. While being transported, the suspect allegedly struck a firefighter. The firefighter sustained minor injuries and received treatment upon arrival at the hospital. While at the hospital, the suspect kicked an officer’s body worn camera, exposed himself and urinated in public. Upon release from the hospital, Yeison Orellana Perez, 27, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Assault on a Firefighter, Public Intoxication, Obstruction of Justice, Indecent Exposure, Urinating in Public and Attempted Destruction of Property. He was held without bond.
