At approximately 3:01 p.m. on February 2, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect was allegedly acting disorderly inside a business when security personnel told him he needed to leave. The suspect returned a short time later, during which he attempted to strike the security personnel before leaving the scene on foot. Security personnel called the police and responding officers located the suspect in the area and attempted to detain him. The suspect was non-compliant and attempted to flee the area on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, the suspect pushed an officer and resisted arrest. The suspect was taken into custody and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation of minor injuries. Emmanuel Toefield, 34, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Assault of Police, Assault and Battery and Obstruction of Justice.
