Police responded to a trespassing call early Tuesday morning in the 1800 block of N. Moore Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered a woman behaving disorderly outside the location. The situation escalated when she allegedly assaulted two female victims and one male victim nearby.
One of the victims suffered minor injuries and had her glasses broken but did not require medical attention. When officers attempted to take the suspect into custody, she reportedly resisted and kicked two officers. Fortunately, the officers were not injured.
During the arrest, suspected narcotics were recovered. Renee Washington, 43, who is listed as having no fixed address, was taken into custody. She faces multiple charges, including assault on police, assault and battery, drug possession, destruction of property, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. She is currently being held without bond.
