Police responded to a report of trespassing in the 2200 block of Columbia Pike on the evening of March 5 and discovered a man suffering from serious injuries inside the lobby of a residential building.
According to the preliminary investigation, the victim had been inside a residence around 6:30 p.m. with two men who were known to him. During the encounter, a verbal dispute escalated into a physical altercation.
Both suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.
The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police say the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing.
